Stumpside Chats #22
New Post Idea [Oct 4, 2024]
I’ve been thinking about doing a new series of posts based around some e-celeb. Probably weekly or almost weekly. A shorter post with a more generally informal tone sort of like my Stumpsides. I want to sort of spotlight these individuals, not really with any sort of in-depth analysis or anything but instead clarifying some things and bringing stuff to light which most people don’t know.
This would be mostly targeted at e-celebs who have some sort of appeal to the RW either through memetic influence or for their political beliefs. Not all of them will be political in nature, in fact most of the ones I’m thinking about right now are not, but some inevitably will.
I may also expand the scope at some point in the future to include a broader range of people. I don’t really intend on doing micro celebs like iFunny accounts, but it may be possible for a Ferd post at some point in the future. I know you all would LOVE that.
I will also give my thoughts on them and provide links to sort of “essential viewing” that brings to light a side of them which you don’t ordinarily see if you only know them “from the memes.” There probably won’t be any real grand takeaway from any of these, though there might be for some.
The added bonus is that I will be making more content outside of Stumpsides, since these should be short enough for me to post relatively frequently without creating issues between work and school.
Anyway, I’m thinking about a handful of people I could do this on, and I think I will put it to a vote between the top two candidates at the end of every post, starting with this one.
It’s not a bad idea. Just hope this doesn’t slip into an online drama magazine. As long as it’s informal and from the hip, it wouldn’t detract from the stump side chats and would probably make them look more thought out by comparison.
